An authority within the area of Quality Management. Deming continued Shewhart's job, preached the continuous improvement philosophy, responsibility of management and profound knowledge. Deming emphasised the appreciation of variation, the concept of in statistical control, i.e. predictability, and introduced the Plan-Do-Check-Act improvement cycle.
